Account Manager (Water/Construction/Utilities)

Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is currently seeking to hire an experienced Account Manager to develop new business across an overall mix of existing and new accounts. Primary focus is new business 60% account management 40% Industry focus – Utilities and Tier 1 contractors and suppliers.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Developing new business opportunities with new users.
  • Prospecting and closing new business opportunities in assigned accounts.
  • Using “Gap Selling” to ensure we identify the maximum value we can bring to our users and prospects and drive growth.
  • Acting as primary contact within specified accounts by: a.) acting as the responsible direct contact partner for all commercial communications to and from accounts; b.) determining the sales strategy and vale propositions; and c.) negotiating and implementing approved contracts.
  • Participating in sales events such as conferences, exhibitions and presentations (Currently all virtual).
  • Following the Bentley Sales Methodology and documenting the sales process in CRM.
  • Establishing sales implementation plans for the assigned user base.
  • Preparing sales reports in SAP C4S on various aspects of sales activities in the territory assigned to include such things as: forecasts, sales data, etc.
  • Maintaining a high knowledge level of the company's solutions and services, as well as knowledge on the particular Industry workflows, business drivers, and major players.

 

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in selling software solutions into the Utilities, Construction and/or infrastructure industry required.  
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Degree level education preferred.
  • A passion for hitting targets with evidence of previous performance.
  • Self-motivating “can-do” attitude.
  • Very well disciplined and organized with a high level of personal integrity.
  • PC literacy with appropriate MS Office applications proficiency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills.
