Manager, Solution Engineering – EMEA

Position Summary:

As the Manager of Solution Engineering (SE) for EMEA within the Account Advancement Group, you're instrumental in driving Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth. Leading a team of technical experts, you oversee pre-sales activities, collaborating closely with sales, user success, marketing, and product teams. Together, you shape Bentley's offerings and go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful customer adoption and advancing infrastructure through innovative technology.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire Solution Engineers to excel, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Build strong relationships with accounts, partners, and influencers to drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase ARR, collaborating with Sales and Account Management teams.
  • Ensured Solution Engineering efforts aligned with overall business objectives, forecasted ARR impact, and drove technical account plans.
  • Drive trusted advisor status with key customer accounts, facilitating ARR expansion through collaboration with Sales and User Success teams.
  • Maintain internal collaboration, ensuring outcomes support sales teams and a smooth workflow across departments.
  • Foster technical excellence through ongoing training and enablement within the team.
  • Utilize data and analytics to assess ARR growth initiatives, monitor market trends, and inform strategic decisions.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field required. Master's degree considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in technical sales, solution engineering, or sales engineering, ideally within the software technology sector.
  • Proficiency in sales methodologies and processes, particularly in enterprise sales cycles and complex solution selling.
  • Thorough understanding of infrastructure, engineering, or construction industries.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid business acumen, capable of comprehending account needs and aligning them with appropriate technical solutions.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting revenue targets.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, up to 50%, to support regional initiatives and global internal engagements.
