Location: Home-based/Hybrid, Exton, PA (EDT preferred)

 

Position Summary:

 

The IT Asset Manager Leader is responsible for determining the assurance and effectiveness of the ITAM (IT Asset Management) Team, while governing, and protecting the IT Assets for Bentley Systems. The IT  Asset Manager Leader will lead groups of global colleagues to ensure that Bentley Assets, (Software & Hardware) are optimized for usage, properly documented, and managed through the lifecycle of the Asset. It is the focus of this leader to form effective multidisciplinary relationships and to define goals to support and challenge the ITAM (IT Asset Management) colleagues and peers to deliver exceptional service, useful assets and resources, and value to our organization and colleagues. They will collaborate with various organizations such as, but not limited to, VMO (Vendor Management Office), finance, and legal, to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency for Bentley’s asset portfolio usage.   

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

  • Manage, Control, and protect company owned IT Hardware & Software Assets.
  • Lead the performance of the IT Asset Management Team.
  • Actively contribute to the goals and initiatives of the Digital Experience Team as a leader within IT Global Service Delivery.
  • Identify opportunities within the IT Asset Management Service Delivery space by developing initiatives driven by data and colleague feedback.
  • Serve as an escalation point for asset requests/issues.
  • Develop team goals to meet the needs of internal projects and strategic initiatives set by the organization.
  • Govern company asset standards, ensuring the information remains accurate, secure, and available to colleagues.
  • Mature and govern internal IT Asset Management services and processes to support the evolving needs of the company.
  • Analyze and report on asset usage, performance, costs, and identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Provide Governance and oversight on policies and procedures.
  • Develop and publishes policies and process to govern all teams supporting the lifecycle of a CI to ensure all CI data is managed and controlled under the defined management process.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, related field, or relevant training and experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience managing external vendors, resellers, hardware/software deployments/implementations.
  • Proficiency in using SAM & HAM tools and software license management platforms and Configuration Management (CMDB). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead & supervise others, while maintaining a high level of technical knowledge with a focus on Service Delivery.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., IAITAM, Certified Asset Management Professional – CAMP, Certified Hardware Asset Manager – CHAMP. Certified Software Asset Manager – CSAM, CITAM, ITIL v3 Certification) are advantageous. 
  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid in Exton, PA.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
  • There is no travel required for this role.
